Stephanie and a Library

I've been cooped up in the house for over a week now (back drama) and it was so sweet of Stephanie to bring me Cafe Brazil this morning for breakfast.  We enjoyed it up on the roof and decided to risk leaving the house to go to a Liquidation Sale here in Deep Ellum.

To pay her back for breakfast (she was being stubborn) I threw a whopping $10 down for this painting that she's planning on putting over her new "work-from-home" desk!  I picked up a cute print as well that I'm going to re-frame for Paul.

I was so excited to be out doing something with a friend that we also stopped by a vintage store for a quick once over and then shared these yummy desserts before going to West Elm and Urban Outfitter.

Luckily my back held up till I walked in the door.

NEW HOME PROJECT

This attractive area is our loft space that is in-between our game room and heading up stairs to our roof deck.

It's more known for Lizzy's hide-out area!
(notice Lizzy on the left)

This project is going down next weekend.  I'm turning it into a library nook for me.

I think it will bring Lizzy and me closer together.

Paul has already ordered the bamboo floors to replace the assaulting red carpet, more known as Lizzy's scratch pad.  And I ordered and picked up the following:

I originally wanted a LoveSac bean bag but when I saw this chaise at Ikea I immediately thought it would be better for using an ipad or laptop if I wanted to do something besides reading in the library nook.

This bookshelf will be laid on it's side.

I snagged this rug today at West Elm.  It's not my normal style but I like how it's muted so I can play with color in paintings, pictures and pillows.

I want these from Restoration Hardware to string diagonally from the ceiling beams over the area.

Hope you're having a wonderful Saturday and Let's Go MAVS tomorrow!

Love, Sarah

The bookcase is from Ikea too. I still have it in the box so I can't test a vinyl out on it yet. Will do next weekend.
