Chick & Bee Tomato

I received this beautiful home grown tomato from my co-worker Brandon and his wife Becky.  They are 100% DIY experts and have the cutest blog, Chick and Bee,  showing their ventures and her interests.  Recently she started her own garden, which produced this perfect tomato.

You know how most tomatoes are soft and kind "gushy" on the inside.  Well, this one was solid to the core and had the most refreshing taste.

Lately I've been making kabob's with tomatoes and watermelon with balsamic vinegar splashed on top and Paul always asks why I put them on a skewer.  So, for Paul's sanity I cut my ingredients this time and placed them simply in a bowl.

I'm a cheater and buy already cut up watermelon and decided to add some mozzarella balls to the mix.

I add EVOO, balsamic vinegar, some fake salt, and fresh cracked pepper...

and then chow down!

(Paul and I fought over the last piece)

My mom always says that she respects anyone that can grow a tomato, so B&B you're all good in my mommas book!

Thank you Becky and Brandon!

Love, Sarah
