What a weekend! My moms birthday is coming up and she wanted a tour of Dallas, so that's what we did.
We covered all of this in a day and a half:
Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center, Farmers Market, Dallas Arboretum, Fearing's for dinner (where I had the best lamp chops in Texas!), Hully & Mo's for Brunch (Dream Cafe was too crowded), Target for flip-flops, West Village for tea at The Spice & Tea Exchange, then we picked up my dad and grandparents for dinner and ended the day with a rousing game of scrabble!
Warning: there are A LOT of pictures in this post.
But I thought, "hey! it's my blog, I can do what I want!"
We started the day off at the DMA.
I would have taken a million more pictures if they would have let me!
sea sickness
After we toured the DMA, we walked across the street to the Nasher...
This is what I would look like at King Spa!
We then taxi'd our way over to the Dallas Farmers Market...
I live pretty close, so we just walked home to grab the car to the Dallas Arboretum...
...this little guy said hi to us on our walk.
The tulips were gorgeous and reminded us of Holland.
We finished off this night with Fearings and started our next morning with brunch and shopping!
I drove my mom back to Euless and picked up some family members for dinner!
My dad and grandpa fighting for the first bite of dessert.
When we got back to my grandparents, my grandpa showed me some pictures of his old vehicles.
His Ford Victoria, his parents 1935 Plymouth that he learned how to drive in, and his papoose scooter!
We then scrabbled the night away!
With my dad plotting his domination!
This weekend was full of memories that we could never lose.
Happy early birthday to my mom!!
Love, Sarah
